Orren Beaty (b. 1919) was born in Clayton, New Mexico. Prior to working for the Department of the Interior under the Kennedy and Johnson Administrations, Orren Beaty served in the U.S. Army and Air Force, as well as working for several years as the Administrative Assistant to Representative Stewart L. Udall (Arizona) in the United States Congress. Beaty continued his role as administrative assistant when Udall was appointed Secretary of the Interior in 1961, and continued working in that positio...
